「發現、喜樂」

Thanks to God for giving us 18 years of wonderful teaching experience. From these 18 years, we worked very hard to pursue the best pedagogy. “Willing to try, daring to innovate,” was the school slogan from all our teachers and workers.

In 1992 we began to execute school-based activity model, we keep reviewing and refining our teaching approaches. Teachers gathered teaching information and experiences, from that we complied into a book called 「發現、喜樂」– children discover learning through designed activity (project approach).

Teachers used their spare time to picture, record and analyze the success of 2-6 years old children’s learning outcome from their experiences, as well as the reflections from learning process. From this book, we hope parents and educators appreciate children learn through appropriate scaffoldings and guidance. Children perform wonderfully with their excellent characters, learning in an active way and with the spirit of curiosity. At the same time, children feel the teachers’ love, acceptance, appreciation and respect. As a result, it enhances children enjoyment toward learning. As mentioned in the book, children feel joy to learn through discovery, and teachers feel joy from teaching.
Special Events

Our school held a seminar and workshop on October 13, 2001 about our book 「發現、喜樂」for parents and educators to have deeper understanding on our teaching pedagogy - project approach

During that day, there were more than 600 people in attendance, including 79 kindergartens, Institute of Vocational Education’s lecturer (IVE) and students, as well as our parents.
Appreciation from Academy

With extreme enthusiasm for early childhood education, our school would like to share the educational experience to the public. We hope the community can realize the importance of early childhood education with innovative teaching, which is playing an important role for the children’s development.

Once the book 「發現、喜樂」was published, we received a great deal of encouragement, appreciation and recommendation from the Permanent Secretary for Education and Manpower, Mrs. Fanny Law, Former Director of Education, Mr. Matthew Cheung, College instructors and students etc..
